The art of Benediction (祝禱術 Shukutō?) is a method for manifesting the supernatural powers of the gods into the world through one's own body. While great feats not possible through the Words of Creation may be accomplished by Benediction, its use requires favor with the gods. Strong devotion and a spiritual nature may help facilitate, but do not guarantee the blessing of Benediction. Ultimately, the gods grant this protection to accomplish their own goals, and careless use not in line with the god's ideals may cause them to withdraw their power entirely.
