Half-Elf Girl And Human Boy[]

The human villages in the remote regions are at risk of wyvern attacks, in order to appease the wyvern, they would sacrifice a person a year. An unnamed half-elf girl was selected to become the sacrifice for that year, her elven side was from her grandparents; her parents were both human. Her beauty became the source of discord which led people to distance themselves from her.

When Mary, Blood and Gus dropped by the village and heard the situation, Blood gathered the villagers and offered to kill the wyvern if anyone was willing to pay, however, he was met with silent. The three returned to their lodging and in the night, they were visited by a poor farm boy who held out several coins for them to take and even offered his himself to sell as a slave after he was told by Blood the amount was not enough. They were impressed with the human boy's actions and determination and decided to take on the job.

The next day, after they killed the wyvern, they took the human boy and half-elf girl with them and headed for the city because there was no place in the village for those two anymore. After asking what the human boy's intention, Blood gave him a dagger engraved with words by Gus and Mary gave the half-girl a bag filled with coins much more than what was offered to save her. They both initially protested but was stopped by Gus, he told them it was an investment, he told them in return they both to make a name for themselves and when their names reached them, they or a delegate will return to collect what was lent to them plus interest, they would use Gus' real name as their code.

Two hundred years had passed, the two had since became nobility. The human boy has long since passed away but the half-elf is alive and awaits for the delegate of the Wandering Sage. She would return what was lent to them and the money entrusted by her husband and she would say her thanks for what was done for her.
