The Words of Creation (創造のことば Sōzō no Kotoba?) are one branch of magic (the others being Benediction and Elementalism) that uses certain words and signs which hold significant power. They feature prominently in the world's creation myth and the world itself and everything within is said to be made out of these words. Their use requires knowledge of the words and signs (many of which have been lost to people since the Age of Myth) as well as utmost precision in their pronunciation (or inscription, respectively), as inaccuracy may lead to them miss- or even backfiring. Mages often tell warning tales of careless use of the Words. The languages of humans, elves, and fae are said to be corrupted versions of the Words of Creation, invented by Enlight to make communication possible without accidentally casting magic. Likewise, depictions of the signs are always slightly corrupted in order not to activate them while maintaining readability.
